Codes

Different versions of MCU codes are based on the modules of MCU software packages. MCU-4, MCU-5 and MCU-6 packages are currently relevant. Their basic features are as follows:

  • MCU-4 package provides the ability to simulate small systems (core fragments of such reactor types as VVER, RBMK, etc.), does not support parallel computing;
  • MCU-5 package provides the possibility of full-scale modeling of cores of such reactor types as VVER, RBMK, etc., supports parallel computing (MPI);
  • MCU-6 package provides the possibility of full-scale modeling of cores of such reactor types as VVER, RBMK, etc., is additionally optimized for initial data input speed and RAM consumption, supports parallel computing (MPI).

Information on the possibility and conditions for acquiring licenses for the right to use the code is available on request.

The code is intended for study and research purposes only. The results cannot be used for verification of the design projects and nuclear safety.
